Lake Outlet08:4517.012.00.002.000.007.814.00.0overcast, dry, light breezeOne or two large rafts of blanket weed and small accumulations in the margins. Still fishable. No dead fish. Out flow less than 25th September but still flowing.
Silt Trap inlet08:0014.06.00.0015.000.007.812.00.0overcast, dry, light breezeInlet flow slightly reduced from 25th September sampling. Silt trap still slightly cloudy.
Lake Outlet08:3018.012.00.005.000.007.818.00.0Broken cloud and dry. Light breeze.Water outflow slightly reduced. No dead fish. Two swans appear to be taking up residence. They've been around for the past two weeks. Blanket weed is in small rafts. Could be raked from the margins when blown by a strong breeze. Water remains clear to depths
Silt Trap inlet08:0015.04.00.0010.000.007.816.00.0overcast and drySilt trap slightly cloudy. Flow appears slightly less than 22nd Sept pH 7.8
Lake Outlet09:3018.012.00.005.000.207.818.00.0overcast and dry with light breezeBlanket weed in all the margins and small rafts of it all over. No dead fish and one or two rises along heights.
Silt Trap inlet08:3015.08.00.0015.000.207.818.00.0overcast and dry with almost no breezePart of the bank shoring by Steve Ward and Stuart Free has collapsed into the silt trap. Inlet flow appeared less than on Friday 18th September. Lake is still cloudy grey.
Lake Outlet10:0019.012.00.005.000.20—16.05.0cloudy, dry, strong south West breezeBreeze forcing blanket weed toward margins. Clear for fishing in the main lake Much of the shallows at Franklins and Keens unfishable. The removal of the trailing willows along Franklins has enabled the penetration of the strong breeze and ripples on the water to enhance oxygenation. No dead fish. No significant autumn leaves on the surface.
Silt Trap inlet08:0014.04.00.0010.000.20—15.05.0cloudy, dry, South West breezeSilt trap inflow slight improvement. Silt trap clearing to over a meter depth
Lake Outlet09:3019.010.00.005.000.25—22.08.0cloudy but dry.Patches of blanket weed blowing toward margins. Fish stocked on 11th September. Today 14th no dead fish observed. Register shows two anglers caught and released six each on 13th. Same day of this sampling Bruce fished for two hours and CAR six. The fish seemed vigorous and healthy. Water outflow volume is marginally better than on 11th September. Some damsels and dragonflies were flitting about.
Silt Trap inlet09:0016.04.00.0015.000.25—22.08.0cloudy and drySilt trap slightly cloudy. Inflow has marginally increased. I observed two crayfish in the narrow silt trap in the stream.
Lake Outlet09:0019.012.00.005.000.25—20.019.0Broken cloud and drySmall patches of Blanket weed all over. Outflow volume looking ok Water is clear to depth. Overhanging willows along Franklins cleared New stock of 100 rainbow trout up to 2lb
Silt Trap inlet08:0015.04.00.0010.000.25—19.019.0overcast and drySilt trap cloudy One small trout 7cm observed in the mini silt trap before the sloices of the sluices. Also a crayfish in the same area.
Lake Outlet09:0020.012.00.0010.000.00—21.00.0cloudy, dry and strong breezeSmall increase in blanket weed both sides of the main boom. Numerous small clumps of blanket weed all over the lake. Todays strong breeze blowing the floating debris toward the bank. Trailing willow foliage in the lake at Franklins is definitely starting to sprout root like growth. Very little insect life. Very occasional rising fish. No dead fish were observed.
Silt Trap inlet08:3017.06.00.0015.000.25—21.00.0cloudy dry and strong breezeSilt trap still cloudy. Inlet flow remains low with no noticeable change since previous sampling 4th September. No autumn leaves yet.

cloudy, dry, strong south West breeze
    Observations
Breeze forcing blanket weed toward margins.

Patches of blanket weed blowing toward margins.
